Petite for I've posted once before with no luck, I have been leary because I have heard the bad (men pretending to be women, flakes and spammers) but I figured I'd give it anothertry. Hi Everyone, here is a German Lady. I live in Manhattan and have lived here for a while. But for some reason I currently find myself without real friends. I did not grow up in the States so all my friends from and college are back in . And a lot of my friends I made here in NY have left the city over the past few years. And yes, I am sure at my age (somewhere in the 30s / 40s range) most are married and have full lives. Have a big circle of friends and a spouse. Plus over recent years I have found myself make a lot less money. I have been on here looking for female and male friends, activities, things to do and read a number of posts of women in my age who are also looking. But these women seem to all have huge careers and suggest activities, that I could never afford.Earlier this year I rented a small apartment in Manhattan after I broke up with my last boyfriend of 12 years. But rent takes up a huge chunk of my currently way too small salary and I am basiy living from to at this time. (AND, just to throw this in on the side, I am also currently looking for a new Roomie. My current roommate is moving out and for the remainder of the time I am here I am looking for somebody to take her room, which is very large and nice and I would rather live with somebody more my age and more like minded than with a 20 something year old college girl) At this time my biggest obstacle is my current work schedule. I work on weekends and my days off are in the middle of the week. While this can only go on for so long and is meant to be temporary, it makes it very hard to connect with anybody. Or a circle of good friends, that hang out and do things, that don't cost a fortune. Just hanging at the apartment for coffee, taking walks in Central Park (I got an awesome dog), go shopping (I still haven't furnished my place), maybe gym or running around the reservoir, just have fun and support each other, it seems really far away right now. So, I am looking for ladies and guys in their 30s and 40s and maybe 50s, that miss the same. Have maybe a stable life and a career, but really nobody to share life with. I have looked at some meetup groups, but I am a bit shy to just join a group of strange people, but maybe I find somebody who wants to do it with me. The opportunities are endless here in NY I guess.
