It may be a very long shot. . .
On-line dating . . . A friend says it used to be for "losers". . . but now you're one if you're not doing it.
Not perfect or ideal. How do you express in a few words who you are and what you're seeking?
In this eccentric town, I'm looking for a more conventional kind of guy. And you're out there, I've seen you, just haven't approached you, it's not my style.

For 2 people to be compatible, they need to be on the same page, share most values, have common interests and similar lifestyles.
A good basis for a friendship. But you and I may not want another friend of the opposite sex. So, then chemistry, physical attraction of course. Cannot be defined, and is unpredictable. Sometimes it's not quite there at first, but that may change as we get to know the other person. I know not to make hasty judgments.

We all have our preferences, our must haves, and our deal breakers.

I've met great guys in my life time. And I know, for me, the right guy needs to be:
Honest (not rude), confident (not cocky), self-aware (that can only be good), unselfish (but obviously not a doormat), patient, stable and free of any sort of resentment or anger toward a past partner or anyone in general, well mannered.
Reasonably intelligent, witty, with a healthy sense of humor.
College educated with a meaningful career.
Experienced with and respectful of women.
Tallish and reasonably fit with (maybe once) dark hair. I have a thing for green eyed men, not a prerequisite but worth mentioning.

I am a "normal" Caucasian 46 yr old woman. Single. One could say happily divorced. A romantic relationship would be nice, but not at any cost.

Trying to make a difference in the world we live in is important to me, I'm not a fanatic but I feel I can make an impact at my own level by being mindful of the energy I consume and my carbon footprint, recycling, composting, using as little chemicals as possible etc. . . I would like a partner who is like minded.
And I feel the same way about people and do my best to get along with everyone.
We might get along if you appreciate the simple things of life. If you're low key and would enjoy hikes and yoga practice with your partner, simple and healthy meals, with a little vino. . . bonus points if you like cooking and have an interest in nutrition. Reading (books, mostly fiction), foreign & indi movies are other past times of mine. I also feel like life without music would be very sad. not a great dancer but I haven't given up.
Most likely I wouldn't get along with someone who leans right politiy.
